Yes, GenWare tableware is dishwasher safe. In a commercial environment, handwashing your crockery is inefficient and time-consuming - one benefit of GenWare crockery is its ability to withstand the high pressures and temperatures of commercial dishwashers. Make sure to check the manufacturer’s guidance.
Yes, GenWare tableware is safe to withstand temperatures of -40°C to 250°C, which makes it oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe. We do not, however, recommend transferring GenWare crockery from one extreme temperature to another; for instance, straight from the freezer into the oven.
We offer porcelain and stoneware ranges of GenWare crockery.
Porcelain is delicate in appearance but surprisingly sturdy - it is less porous, absorbing less than 1% of its weight in water, and (due to being fired at higher temperatures) is more durable. Stoneware, meanwhile, offers rustic interest, and comes in a range of colours to complement the vibrancy of international cuisines such as South American, Spanish Tapas and Mediterranean dishes.
A couple of simple ways to ensure your GenWare crockery lasts are:
1. To avoid abrasive sponges while washing them, as they may scratch the glaze.
2. To avoid contact with metal surfaces, which can cause scratching and discolouration - you can use protective mats to help with this.
3. To regularly rotate your collection of GenWare crockery, thereby ensuring any wear and tear is shared equally.
