Cabana Brazilian BBQ has announced it will be opening two new restaurants by the end of this year.

According to BigHospitality, these locations will bring the chain's total number to five, showing steady progress for the small brand. The chain launched in 2011 and, in August last year, opened its third diner at the White City shopping centre in Westfield London.

It has a focus on skewers and grilled meats, exemplified by its spicy malagueta chicken and Brazilian burger alongside its traditional Brazilian street food. Additionally, these new enterprises will have an added emphasis on drinks and cocktails, including a range of Brazil's national cocktail Caipirinha.

The franchise - owned by Jamie Barber and David Ponte - will open a restaurant at the London Designer Outlet in Wembley tomorrow (October 22nd), as well as a business located in Upper Street, Islington later in December.

Cabana Brazilian BBQ's design has been overseen by Alex Michaelis - who has previously worked with the likes of Pizza East, Byron and Nando's - and will incorporate "up-cycled" decoration, including copper piping used as lights and fly poster walls. However, each will retain an individual feel or theme - Wembley's location is said to have a hut design while the facade at Islington will utilise multi-colour pastels.

Wembley's facility will also be the biggest unit for the franchise at 5,000 sq ft, joining the likes of Coast to Coast, Handmade Burger Co., Nando's, Zizzi, Ping Pong and other eateries already established there.

BigHospitality and its sister publication M&C reported in August the business was named the food and beverage retailer of the year at Westfield Stratford by Westfield, as well as securing an extra £2 million in funding from its shareholders.

Earlier this year, the company also agreed a publishing deal with Quadrille - publishers for both Antonio Carcluccio and Gordon Ramsay - for a tie-in book for Brazil's World Cup, which comes out May 22nd 2014.ADNFCR-16001031-ID-801651484-ADNFCR
