The 3Sixty Restaurant Group may be up for sale.

It has appointed financial services firm Coffer Corporate as advisors regarding the future of the business.

The group, which owns the Ego and Rocket brands, is believed to have received an unsolicited takeover approach from a private equity company.

It currently owns a total of 12 restaurants, four under the Rocket brand and eight Ego outlets.

Chief executive James Horler told Caterer and Hotelkeeper that the decision to appoint Coffer Corporate came after the company sold its Mayfair venue in November last year for a “substantial premium”, although the exact details of the deal have not been revealed.

Mr Horler added that Ego has been very successful in the last nine months and restaurants in central London are expected to experience a strong summer.

The publication has also reported on the appointment of a new chairman at Bristol-based firm Fosters Event Catering, which may be of interest to local kitchen equipment suppliers.

Alastair Currie has joined the company as it looks to expand its portfolio of private and corporate clients, which currently includes Bath Rugby Club, Bristol City Council and Cheltenham Town Council.

Neil Lodge, the company's chief executive, commented: “When planning the future success of the business, Alastair was the obvious choice to join the team and help steer us as we move forward.

“Fosters is a company of heritage, renowned for its quality and attention to detail, but we anticipate that together with Alastair we will be able to take a new direction that sees an even greater degree of creativity when it comes to developing our events and services.”

Mr Currie said that in the modern market clients are looking for something extra, while value for money and excellent service is expected, they also want renewed creativity.

He claimed the company, which has been trading for over half a century, now needs to prove it has the flair to surprise its customers.

"I believe that the increasingly bespoke service we are planning for both our corporate and private clients will demonstrate our commitment to delivering a premium service,” Mr Currie stated.ADNFCR-16001031-ID-801571578-ADNFCR
