Television personalities Rosemary Shrager and Keri Moss have recently announced new projects.

Moss, who was the joint winner of the 2012 edition of MasterChef: The Professionals, has opened her first restaurant, the Corner Restaurant and Champagne Bar, at London’s Selfridges.

The new site will use catering equipment to offer a varied menu with a focus on seasonal cooking using British ingredients, as well as the dishes that helped Ms Moss to win the competition.

She told the London Evening Standard: "I always had it in my mind that I wanted to open a restaurant. Michel [Roux Jnr] said it’s a great project to start with and hopefully in a year’s time I’ll be able to branch out on my own, he’s 100 per cent behind it.”

Brian Hannon, Selfridges food and restaurants director, welcomed the news. He commented: "We are really excited to be partnering with Keri Moss on her first restaurant opening since becoming the joint winner of MasterChef 2012. We expect it will be a huge success and we look forward to working with her closely.”

Meanwhile, Schrager has opened a new cookery school in the Corn Exchange on the Lower Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The development includes a domestic school, professional school, a deli and cafe as well as an event space, Caterer and Hotelkeeper reports.

She has teamed up with executive chef John Rogers to provide students with an extensive range of day courses. "I’m so delighted to be launching my own cookery school, it’s been a huge project, but I’ve finally been able to create my own professional kitchen, with everything my students need,” Schrager commented.

The celebrity chef added: "I want it to be a place for my students to come and really be inspired, learn new cooking skills, and have fun too.”

Schrager previously ran a cookery school in North Yorkshire and has also spent time teaching in the Hebrides.ADNFCR-16001031-ID-801561009-ADNFCR
