A branch of Yo! Sushi is set to open at Trinity Leeds, the West Yorkshire city's new shopping centre.

According to reports, the sushi chain's first opening of 2013 will be located on the second floor of the complex and contain 57 covers. It will be the second Yo! Sushi branch to open in Leeds.

Seating will be arranged around Yo! Sushi's trademark conveyor belt, with the interior décor featuring sake labels and wooden oak trees created by designer Philip Watts.

The menu is set to offer more than 90 dishes inspired by Japanese cuisine and a takeaway service will also be available.

Due to open March 21st, Trinity Leeds is a city centre retail complex with 1,000,000 sq ft of space for shops and restaurants. In January, developer Land Securities said the centre was 90 per cent pre-let and on course to generate more than 3,000 jobs.

Retailers opening branches in the mall include Armani Exchange, Dorothy Perkins, River Island, Office and Topshop/Topman. Kitchen equipment is likely to be in high demand during the lead-up to the grand opening, as other restaurant chains such as Café Rouge, Carluccio's, Nando's and Wagamama will also have a presence at Trinity Leeds.

"Sushi and shopping is a winning combination," said Robin Rowland, chief executive of YO! Sushi.

He described the new branch as "an elegant pit-stop for shoppers, which will fit in perfectly within the hotly anticipated Trinity Leeds shopping centre".

Mr Rowland added: "This new addition to our portfolio further enhances our business strategy of securing our unique concept in key shopping centre destinations."

Yo! Sushi has grown into a chain of 75 restaurants since it was founded in London in 1997, with 64 of them located in the UK. It also has branches in Ireland, the Middle East and the US.ADNFCR-16001031-ID-801550188-ADNFCR
