Commercial catering equipment suppliers who work with takeaway restaurants could benefit from attending a new event.

The Takeaway Innovation Expo 2013, which is being held on November 28th to 29th, will provide equipment firms with the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the sector and better understand the needs of their clients.

It will be held at the Olympia in London and is set to feature speeches from some of the most prominent figures in the industry. There will also be presentations made by experts from other sectors such as Facebook's head of small and medium-sized business marketing communications Felicity McCarthy and Andy Eustace of LinkedIn.

The expo will feature a large number of exhibits focusing on a diverse range of subjects, including catering equipment, technology in restaurants, menu planning and food wholesale. It has been organised by the Prysm Group and is supported by the likes of the British Hospitality Association and Food Standards Agency, while its official sponsor is online takeaway website Just Eat.

Speaking to Catering Insight, Tom Borthen, Prysm Group marketing and communications director, commented: "Pairing the leading internet takeaway provider with our expertise in the exhibition industry will make Takeaway Expo 2013 unmissable for anybody already working in, or thinking of getting involved with, the takeaway industry."

Tickets for the Takeaway Innovation Expo can be ordered for free from its official website.

Another event that may be of interest to catering equipment firms is the annual Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA) conference, which will be taking place at the Savill Court Hotel and Spa near Bishopsgate in Surrey on November 13th and 14th.

It will be based around the theme 'setting the standards' and its keynote speaker will be former Labour political advisor Alastair Campbell, who will give his take on the state of the catering industry.

Dennis Turner, former chief economist at HSBC, will also speak at the conference and over 200 leading figures in the sector will be present.ADNFCR-16001031-ID-801626919-ADNFCR
