Lindley to cater for Swindon Town

Lindley Venue Catering has signed a new deal to provide catering services for Swindon Town Football Club.

It has served the League One team since 2009 and has extended the agreement for a further ten years. The deal will be financially beneficial for both parties, as Lindley will earn £13 million in revenue, while Swindon will save £4 million due to the length of the contract.

Lindley will use kitchen equipment to provide both matchday and non match-day services at the County Ground, as well as catering for any events held at the venue.

Swindon Town general manager Steve Murrall said he was pleased to see the organisations extend their relationship.

"Over the past four years we have seen the significant benefits that Lindley Venue Catering’s experience and expertise in stadia catering has brought to our retail operation on matchdays," he commented.

Mr Murrall described the new ten-year contract as a chance to put Swindon's County Ground "on the map" by improving the matchday catering experience for supporters and also attracting event business, which can generate useful funds for the club.

Jonathan Davies, Lindley's sales and marketing director, said the company is delighted to be working with a "forward thinking" partner and is keen to help Swindon achieve its plans for the future.

He claimed the business is looking forward to "establishing the County Ground as a top choice venue for conference and event organisers in the area as well as along the M4 corridor and beyond".

Lindley specialises in providing catering services at sporting venues and some of the biggest football clubs in the country - such as Manchester City, Sunderland FC and Tottenham Hotspur - among its clients.

The company has also recently been awarded a £5 million contract to provide catering services at the RAF Museum in Colindale, North London for the next seven years.

It represents a first move into the museum market for Lindley, which beat off considerable competition to secure the deal.ADNFCR-16001031-ID-801597932-ADNFCR
