Alastair Campbell will be the keynote speaker at 2013's annual Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA) conference.

The former Labour Party director of communications and strategy, who was renowned for his abilities as a spin doctor, will give his take on the industry at the event. Also speaking at the conference will be Dennis Turner, former chief economist at HSBC.

Taking place on November 13th to 14th, the conference will be based around the theme 'setting the standards' and is being held in conjunction with the Foodservice Consultants Society International and British Hospitality Association. It will take place at Savill Court Hotel and Spa near Bishopsgate in Surrey.

Nick Oryino, CESA chair, commented: "This event mixes high profile, insightful presentations with the opportunity to network with over 200 of the industry’s top figures.

"It brings together food service operators, consultants, manufacturers and distributors and unveils the very latest industry thinking from speakers at the heart of the issues."

The CESA said the event will enable guests to find out about the latest thoughts in the catering equipment industry from speakers who are at the heart of its core issues. More than 200 of the sector's key figures will be present and attendees will be able to add their own voice to the discussions.

In addition to the conference itself, an informal networking dinner will be held on November 14th, while guests will also get the opportunity to play golf at Camberley Heath Golf Club.

The event will also see the presentation of the FCSI Sustainable Catering Equipment Award and the 18th Outstanding Contribution to the Catering Equipment Industry prize.

Last year's conference featured speeches from the likes of David Blunkett, David Shields of GPS and Peter Martin of Peach factory.

The CESA is one of the most influential bodies in the catering equipment industry and has been representing companies in the sector since 1938. More than 160 businesses are currently a member of the organisation.ADNFCR-16001031-ID-801623443-ADNFCR
